Huzero Heat-pump Hybrid Desiccant Dehumidifier

Huzero is a heat-pump hybrid desiccant dehumidifier that operates even below 40% of Relative Humidity (RH) and dehumidifies up to 10% humidity. With the advanced technology from Humaster, Huzero can operate at temperatures as low as -10°C without freezing and defrosting. Huzero is 150% more efficient than conventional electric dehumidifiers, with the energy saving and ESG contribution.

Dehumidifying rotor

It is made into a cylindrical shape by molding the polymer dehumidifying material into a cardboard shape and rolling it. As air passes through the gaps in the cardboard shape, moisture may be adsorbed to the surface or desorbed from the surface depending on the humidity difference.

Dehumidifying part for rotor

Moisture from air with high relative humidity is absorbed and removed from the surface of the dehumidifying rotor. So the air humidity becomes lower.

After passing through the evaporator, air with reduced absolute humidity and increased relative humidity flows into the dehumidifying rotor dehumidification unit.

Evaporator

As humid vapor flows into the evaporator, moisture condensation occurs actively in the evaporator, improving dehumidification performance. The evaporation temperature also increases, increasing heat pump efficiency and preventing freezing.

Inside of Huzero, there is a Hurotor which is developed by using Husorb, Humaster’s own technology of polymeric dehumidifying material and patented in Korea and the United States. It has a 5 times greater sorption capacity than silica gel, deodorizes by over 99% and filters moisture and harmful substances with antifungal/antibacterial features.

Husorb is a new dehumidified material that can be recycled at low temperatures below 50C making Huzero operates on renewable energy, such as heat pump waste heat, eliminating the need for additional renewable power.

A typical dehumidifier that used in the factory or manufacturing process which can operate in low humidity and low temperature conditions, the power consumption is more than 4 times that of conventional dehumidifiers, causing energy costs. It also requires additional faucet facilities, exhaust ducts, and unable to move.
